Amish Rolled Oats Cake1 cup oats Topping (use on warm cake): Mix oats and boiling water; let stand 20 minutes. Cream together shortening, sugar, eggs, vanilla and add cooled oats with dry ingredients. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes. Topping: Boil margarine, brown sugar and milk for 7 minutes. Remove from heat, and stir in coconut and nuts. |
